HOW TO ENABLE SPEAK SELECTION ON YOUR DEVICE ?
STEP 1: Open the settings app and it will be available on your home screen.
STEP 2: Make a tap on the general tab.
STEP 3: Scroll down and tap on the accessibility tab.
Step 4: Tap the Speak Selection option (it should be set to off, currently).
STEP 5: Tap the toggle switch to turn it on. You can also adjust the rate of speech as well. However, by default it will be already pretty fast.
Once you’ve got Speak Selection enabled, just highlight any text like you would if you were going to copy it but tap the “Speak” button instead. This option will change to “Pause” while the text is being spoken so you can stop it at any point.
HOW TO USE SPEAK SELECTION MODE ON YOUR DEVICE ?
STEP 1: Launch the app containing the text you’d like your iPhone or iPad to speak back to you.
STEP 2: Hold your finger down on the text you’d like it to read to pull up the copy/paste menu.
STEP 3: Highlight the text and in the text edit popup, select Speak.
STEP 4: Your iPhone or iPad will now speak the text back to you.
